Workshop to focus on easing return-to-school stress

Must Read

The return to school often provokes myriad emotions – excitement, nervousness, anxiety – and this year is no exception.

Recognizing that families may be a little more anxious than usual as the new school year kicks off, the non-profit Safe Community Coalition on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. will offer a free online panel discussion concerning back-to-school anxiety.

Dr. Melissa Sporn will moderate the discussion, which will feature local mental-health professionals Jennifer Weaver, Mimi Weisberg and Robyne Davis. The panel will discuss school-related anxiety and offer ways local residents can help get the school year off to a solid start.
