The Arlington Commission on the Status of Women tonight (March 30) presents its 2022 Women of Vision Awards.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. at Arlington Economic Development, 1100 North Glebe Road, Suite 1500.
Being honored this year:
• In the business category, Karen Bate and Evelyn Powers are being saluted for their work founding the networking and professional-development organization Awesome Women Entrepreneurs.
• In the non-profit category, Natalie Foote is being honored for her service as founder and CEO of Restoration Immigrant Legal Aid, which provides pro-bono legal assistance and referrals to additional resources to asylum-seekers, domestic-violence survivors and other immigrants.
• In the government category, Tara Magee is being honored for her leadership of the Girls Outreach Program, an initiative of the county court system providing support to at-risk women and girls who have experienced trauma.
The event is open to the community; a $25 donation per person is suggested to support the efforts of the Commission on the Status of Women.
