A 62-year-old Berryville woman died March 13 from injuries sustained in a crash four days earlier in McLean, Fairfax County police said.

Officers responded March 9 at 3 p.m. to the three-car crash in the 8800 block of Georgetown Pike. The driver of a 2020 Audi A5 was traveling west on Georgetown Pike. The driver of a 2005 Nissan Sentra and the driver of a 1991 Toyota MR5 were both traveling east on Georgetown Pike.

The driver of the Audi lost control of his car, crossed the double yellow line, and hit the Nissan head-on. The Audi then spun into the path of the Toyota, resulting in the Toyota’s rear-ending the Audi.

The driver of the Audi was treated for injuries at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening. Rescue personnel took the driver of the Nissan, Karla Boggess, to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries four days later.
