Vienna police responded on May 18 at 9:52 p.m. to a reported accident at Nutley Street and Courthouse Road, S.W.
A motorist traveling west on Courthouse Road went through the intersection at Nutley Street on a green traffic light. Another vehicle was traveling west on Courthouse Road, S.W., and turned right onto Nutley Street, S.W., in the adjacent lane, police said.
Another vehicle traveling northbound on Nutley Street entered the intersection, struck both vehicles and then fled the scene without stopping, police said.
Rescue personnel transported one of the struck vehicles’ drivers to an area hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening, and treated a passenger in the other struck vehicle at the scene for minor injuries.
