Four local talented high-school baseball players, who all missed a number of games to start the spring season with various injuries, have returned to action in recent days.
The last to return was Madison Warhawks’ pitcher/first baseman Bryce Eldridge. He homered against Chantilly the night of April 25 in his season debut.
Right-handed pitcher Evan Fontaine for the McLean Highlanders recently pitched in a couple of games after missing 13 contests. Same with Yorktown Patriots southpaw James Tallon. He has thrown a total of 3 1/3 innings in the last two games after missing the first 12.
Langley High School pitcher Bobby Fleming missed a few games to start the season, and has since returned.
For high-school baseball fans, the talents of those four players are among the best to watch. Now they can, and hopefully, that won’t change.
