For those who follow the local high-school sport of swimming and diving, there’s a big frustration because there isn’t a central Website used where results of regular-season dual meets and big postseason competitions are found.
The site PVswim.org lists some postseason results, but often they aren’t posted until days after the fact, if at all. That’s not good enough.
There is a site called meetmobile that some leagues use, but unfortunately, just a small percentage, and only for postseason results.
In this day and age, there is no excuse for not all teams and leagues using that meetmobile site, posting all results there, or having some type of other central site available. It’s even more frustrating since so many other high-school sports have such awesome Websites, like Milestat.com for cross country and track and field.
There also are similar sites for wrestling and baseball and softball.
Plus, during the summer, the poplar Northern Virginia Swimming League has outstanding Websites where all swim and dive meet results are posted within minutes or just a few hours.
Without such a a high-school site, swimming and diving is significantly cheated on that level, and that’s really too bad. Meets are held, but the results are nowhere to be found.
Again, that’s not good enough.
