We were teased last week with nice warm weather. Unfortunately, that ended on Monday and Tuesday of this week as cold temperatures returned with the reminder that it’s still only April, when the thermometer will dip into the 30s on occasion.
There was a chilly example of that early Tuesday morning with frost that needed scraping off car windows. The reminder also occurred Monday night for those attending high-school sporting events. Jackets weren’t enough. Coats, gloves and hats were necessary to keep a little bit warm.
Seems like every spring April is the big tease temperature month. One day hot, the next day in the 40s and 30s with a gusty wind. Some years, May isn’t all that warm either.
Hope that’s not the case this year.
We’ll see what happens.
