The outdoor spring high-school sports season still has a few weeks remaining.
As the campaign draws closer to its end, many senior nights are held, when the senior members on all teams (players and managers), are honored during pregame or pre-event ceremonies, no matter the sport. Each senior is highlighted, with a bit of info about each read.
The events are well done, as each senior has his or her moment. They are introduced with parents or family members, then a pose for individual and group photos.
Afterward, the games and events are held. It often happens that a number of those seniors perform very well on those nights, or afternoons.
The McLean High School baseball team held its senior night prior to its home game against Washington-Liberty on April 21. There were many seniors honored.
Watch for many more such ceremonies in the coming days.
