It was a tough Saturday afternoon of high-school football action for the three varsity private-school teams in the Sun Gazette’s coverage area.
The trio all lost by lopsided scores on Oct. 23, being outscored by a combined 128-21. Wow.
The Bishop O’Connell Knights suffered the worst setback, falling 54-0 on the road to the Carroll Lions. The winless Flint Hill Huskies were blown out at home, 38-7, to Norfolk Academy, trailing 35-0 at halftime. The visiting Potomac School Panthers lost to St. James, 36-14, in Maryland.
A rough day of high-school football for sure for that trio of teams.
