The Madison High School football team has enjoyed big success the last few seasons, and a reason for the Warhawks’ winning ways is their string of big success on their home field.
So far this season, with one or two home games still left to play in the post season, Madison has a 7-0 home record, including 2-0 in the postseason, and three shutouts. In the previous campaign, Madison was 5-1 at home, with its lone loss coming in a close decision against South County in the Class 6 state semifinals.
The season before in 2019, Madison had a 5-2 home record, also with one playoff loss that fall.
So the Warhawks have made the best of their home stadium, and hope to continue their home sweet home flavor twice more this fall.
We’ll see what happens.
