The Oak Marr RECenter facility in Oakton, along with the Burke Lake Park venue in Burke, recently were recognized as top 50 public ranges by Golf Range Association of America’s Golf Range Magazine.
Both places have a lot to do and offer for those interested in golf.
In addition to each having double-deck driving ranges, each has a par-3 golf course, a miniature golf course, practice putting greens and practice sand traps. Spare clubs are available for golfers to use at those driving ranges.
And there is plenty of parking, which is a good thing because both are often crowded.
So there is everything on those sites needed for both the casual and serious golfers.
Both facilities are owned and operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority.
At Oak Marr, there also is a big adjacent artificial-turf field that various teams use, plus the big indoor RECenter is right there, with a huge pool for swimming and diving and much more that is offered.
Burke Lake Park, of course, has the large surrounding park with campsites, walking paths and trails and the lake and all.
Two outstanding facilities that offer so much, and now nationally recognized for golf.
