Sports Notebook: Change of venue

Must Read

In addition to a new head coach in C.J. Remmo, the Potomac School Panthers have changed their location this season as far as the football team’s home sideline.

The high-school squad has switched and now uses the sideline the farthest from the school’s old smaller gym, letting the visitors use that spot instead. Joining the team on that new locale sideline is the enthusiastic Panthers’ student section, with a big blue and orange home Potomac School flag being constantly waved as part of the cheering going on.

The Potomac School parents and other spectators remain gathered behind the bench of the now visiting-team sideline, or the old location for them.

The reasons for the changes were basically for the sake of change, and maybe a better perspective, and the team hopes that will be good luck, as well.

We’ll see what happens.
