Solo show on tap at Gallery Underground

Must Read

Gallery Underground, an initiative of the Arlington Artists Alliance, will present a solo show featuring works of Jane McElvany Coonce from June 27 to July 22.

Coonce painted every day through the pandemic while also teaching art classes over Zoom, turning a difficult situation into a positive experience.

“I know that the lockdown period was not easy for most people, but for me it was a growing period for me as an artist,” she said.

The exhibition – “Four Seasons” – will be in the Focus Gallery. In addition, new works by gallery members in a host of media will be presented in the Main Gallery.

Gallery Underground is located at 2100 Crystal Drive in the Crystal City Shops, and is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. An opening exhibition is slated for Friday, July 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.
