Sign of spring: Garden club preps plant sale

The Ayr Hill Garden Club is accepting orders for its annual plant sale, to be conducted on Saturday, May 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Freeman Store and Museum, 131 Church St., N.E.

Advance orders will be accepted through May 1, or patrons can peruse the offerings at the May 8 event.

“We can help you find the perfect plants for your garden,” club officials said. “This year, we have a special focus on Virginia native plants.”

The Ayr Hill Garden Club maintains five public gardens in the Vienna area, and provides “Greener Vienna” grants to several sites in the town. New members are always invited.
