•• Virginia Pommerening of Arlington earned a master of business administration degree during recent commencement exercises at the University of Utah.

•• Kate Gusek of Arlington earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and health, magna cum laude and with university honors, and Joseph Siewick of Arlington earned a bachelor of science degree in software engineering and analytics during recent commencement exercises at Miami University.

•• Rwail Sirmed of Arlington earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, cum laude, and William Sanzenbacher of Arlington earned a bachelor of science degree in television-radio during recent commencement exercises at Ithaca College.

•• Marion Boyd of Arlington earned a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish and history and Griffin Donaldson of Arlington earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration during recent commencement exercises at Washington and Lee University.

•• Christopher Ozgo of Arlington earned faculty honors and Robert Ridgeway and Alexander Tyler of Arlington have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

•• Natalia Uro-De León, the daughter of Antelmo De León and Gabriela Uro of Arlington and a graduate of Wakefield High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Dickinson College.

•• Christopher Stewart of Arlington, a graduate of Gonzaga College High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Cornell University’s College of Engineering.

•• Olivia Dashefsky of Arlington, a graduate of The Field School; Lucinda Olson of Arlington, a graduate of H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program; Elizabeth Price of Arlington, a graduate of Holton-Arms School; and Anna Secrest of Arlington, a graduate of Washington-Liberty High School have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Hamilton College.

•• Jonathan Escalera of Arlington has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Florida Institute of Technology.

•• Cierra Jenkins of Arlington has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Western Carolina University.

•• Erin Kilkenny of Arlington has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of New Hampshire.

•• Yorktown High School’s chapter of Tri-M Music Honor Society was named second-runner-up in the senior division at the National Association for Music Education’s Honor Society Chapter of the Year awards competition, presented by Schmidt Vocal Arts.

The competition is designed to motivate local chapters to perform service projects while increasing awareness and interest in music education.

South Haven High School in Michigan was named senior-division national chapter of the year, while International Christian School in Shatin, Hong Kong, was named first-runner-up.
