•• Kimberly Smith of Arlington has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

•• Jessica Grom of Arlington, a resident at Georgia State University, has received the doctoral fellowship in trauma intervention.

•• Ava Boston, a graduating senior at Yorktown High School who will attend Yale University, has receive one of five regional Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Kilberg Scholarships for 2022.

The scholarships, named in honor of retired NVTC president Bobbie Kilberg, are presented to women interested in careers in the tech industry.

“Created greater access and providing resources for women to secure in-demand jobs . . . is critically important to build a diverse and talented workforce,” said Jennifer Taylor, current president/CEO of the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
