** Sara Gustafson of Arlington earned a bachelor of arts degree in English during recent commencement exercises at Grove City College.

** Clara Gardner and Gibson Cameron of Arlington have been named to the dean’s list with honors at McDaniel College.

** Connor Thompson of Arlington has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Clarkson University.

** Sydney Bamdad, Naomi Bergena, Cory Dudka, Audrey Miller, Cormac O’Harrow, Hugo Stevenson, Katie Webster and Vivienne Wooldridge have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

** Nadiran Abulizi of Arlington, a graduate of H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program; Igo Osadchyi of Arlington, a graduate of Wakefield High School; and Conor Daughtery of Arlington, a graduate of West Potomac High School, have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Lebanon Valley College.

** John Sampa has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at University of the Cumberlands.

** Amanda Ebersole of Arlington has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

** Robyn Alteneder of Arlington graduated during recent ceremonies at Northfield Mount Hermon.

** U.S. Air Force Major Kevin Grebb of Arlington recently had his final – or “fini”– flight as a test engineer at Nellis Air Force Base.

Grebb – call sign “HOTAS” – will be assigned to Air Combat Command Headquarters at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia this month.

A 2004 graduate of Yorktown High School and later graduate of Georgia Tech (playing lacrosse at each), Grebb coached youth lacrosse in Annandale when he was assigned in the D.C. area.

Grebb’s wife Kimberly and children Kenley and Knox joined him for his fini flight, but avoided the traditional champagne wet down.
