Residents win appointments from outgoing Northam

Before leaving office earlier this month, former Gov. Ralph Northam appointed a number of local residents to Virginia boards and commissions:

• Sandra Welsford of Arlington was appointed to a four-year term on the Virginia Milk Commission.

• Rudolph Burwell of Arlington and Kevin Saucedo-Broach of Arlington were appointed to the Board for Contractors, Burwell for a four-year term and Saucedo-Broach to serve the remainder of a term ending in June 2024.

• Jeffrey Bialos of McLean was appointed to a four-year term on the Virginia-Israel Advisory Board.
