Police: Youth fends off possible abductor

On July 19 at 6:50 p.m., a juvenile male was riding his bicycle in the 4100 block of 4th Street North when an individual attempted to make contact with him from inside a parked vehicle, Arlington police said.

The victim initially approached the vehicle because he believed he knew the man, at which time the suspect reached out toward the victim’s arm, police said.

The victim confronted the suspect, who fled the scene in the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years old, with short white hair, wearing a short-sleeved, collared shirt and dark sunglasses. There is no description of the vehicle.
