Police: Victim retrieves necklace before suspect flees

On July 13 at 1:50 a.m., two individuals were in a parking lot in the area of Columbia Pike and South Four Mile Run Drive when they were approached by a man who became confrontational, Arlington police said.

A verbal dispute occurred, during which time the suspect implied he had a weapon and forcibly removed the victim’s necklace before fleeing on foot.
The victim was able to retrieve the chain before the suspect left.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 15 to 25 years old, 5’8”, with straight black hair.

The victim sustained minor injuries and declined the assistance of medics.
