Police: Verbal dispute escalates, leads to abduction charge

On Jan. 11 at 9:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Columbia Pike, where two individuals were involved in a verbal dispute.

According to police, one of the combatants allegedly brandished a firearm, threatened the other and forced her into a vehicle before discharging a round into the air and fleeing the scene.

Officers identified the suspect, obtained warrants and took him into custody.

The suspect – 27-year-old Kahime Green of Arlington – was arrested and charged with abduction, brandishing a firearm, assault-and-battery, reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a public place.
