On April 14 at 2:24 a.m., three individuals were in a vehicle in the 700 block of South Glebe Road in Arlington when a verbal dispute broke out, police said.
During the incident, one of the combatants produced a knife, police said.
The parties then exited the vehicle and the suspect struck one victim and placed the other in a chokehold, police said.
The suspect – 21-year-old Trevor Parker of Alexandria – was arrested and charged with strangulation, attempted malicious wounding, assault-and-battery, obstruction and drunk in public.
