Police: Trespasser warned, then arrested

Vienna police officers on Aug. 6 at 2:36 p.m. responded to a report of a man trespassing in an apartment building in the 200 block of Locust Street, S.E.

The man refused to speak to the officers and walked away from them police said. As he was leaving the property, the officers advised him he was trespassing and would be arrested if he returned.

A short time later, another resident called to complain that the man was trespassing in the 300 block of Locust Street, S.E. Officers attempted to speak to the man, but he continued to ignore their commands and refused to identify himself.

Police arrested the 23-year-old man of no fixed address and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged him with trespassing and refusing to obey a lawful order of a police officer.
