On June 29 at 2:12 p.m., an individual entered a residential building in the 1200 block of South Eads Street in Arlington and became engaged in a verbal dispute with an employee, police said.
According to police, the suspect allegedly threatened the victim and made gestures to imply he had a firearm before fleeing on foot.
The suspect was located by responding officers. While being taken into custody, the suspect allegedly struck a police cruiser, resulting in damage.
The suspect – 27-year-old Farouq Sadiq Abdullahi – was arrested and charged with assault-and-battery, destruction of property, drunk in public and intent to distribute Schedule II controlled substances. He was held without bond.
