On Sept. 27 at 12:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Lynn Street for a report of disorderly conduct inside a business, Arlington police said.

Upon police arrival, the suspect exited the business and attempted to flee the area, officers said. When officers attempted to detain the man for questioning, he actively resisted, police said.

Subsequent investigation determined that the suspect entered the business and became involved in a verbal dispute with employees, at which time he allegedly demanded money.

The suspect – 19-year-old Terry William Cordell Clark of the District of Columbia – was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted robbery and single counts of obstruction of justice and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
