On Sept. 28 at 7:49 p.m., a security guard at a store in the 1100 block of South Hayes Street observed two women attempting to conceal merchandise, Arlington police said.

The guard confronted the women and asked them to leave, at which time he put the merchandise on the counter. A short time later, the suspects returned, grabbed the merchandise and attempted to leave the store, police said.

During the second incident, one of the suspects displayed a knife and threatened the guard before the two suspects fled with the merchandise.

The suspects are described as black females, one wearing a black bonnet and denim jacket and the other, described as heavyset and with black braids or dreadlocks, wearing plaid pants.
