Police: Man asleep under overpass in Arlington set on fire

On Feb. 19, an individual was asleep underneath an overpass in the 2900 block of South Glebe Road when he was approached by a known person who allegedly wrapped his legs in blankets and set them on fire.

According to police, the victim and a witness were able to extinguish the fire.

The victim sought treatment on Feb. 25 and was transported to a local hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, 27 years old, 5’5”, with a medium build.
