Police: Gun displayed as juvenile is threatened

On Nov. 19 at 3:21 p.m., two juveniles were walking in the 4100 block of 11th Street North when they were approached by five juveniles who threatened them and demanded their property. One of the suspects lifted his sweatshirt to display a firearm.

Personal property was taken before the suspects fled the scene. Responding officers located the suspects near the Ballston Metro station.

According to police, petitions were obtained for one suspect for use of a firearm in commission of a felony, robbery and brandishing a firearm near a school. The other suspects were released to parents or guardians as the investigation continues.
