On July 15 at 2:14 a.m., a fight occurred in the 900 block of North Jackson Street, during which witnesses reported to individuals brandishing firearms, Arlington police said.
The first suspect was located at the scene and was taken into custody without incident, police said. The second suspect had fled in a vehicle, but was located in the area by responding officers. During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered suspected narcotics, police said.
The first suspect – 30-year-old Edwin Garcia-Ventura of Woodbridge – was arrested and charged with brandishing and carrying a concealed weapon.
The second suspect – 29-year-old Alhammasi Majid of Stafford – was charged with brandishing, two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of felon in possession of ammunition, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I/II drugs, possession with intent to distribute while armed and carrying a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine. He was held without bond.
