Police: Enforcement effort in Crystal City paying off

Must Read

The Arlington County Police Department says targeted enforcement efforts in Crystal City and surrounding neighborhoods are helping to stem a recent rash of incidents.

The criminal-patrol detail works on enforcement and community education, including high-visibility patrols through the area.

As a result, six weapons have been recovered from various incidents, including five firearms and one pair of brass knuckles. In addition, the number of carjackings and thefts of idling vehicles has been reduced significantly.
