On Feb. 4 at 11:51 p.m., an individual was walking into a business in the 400 block of 23rd Street South when three individuals exited the establishment and physically pushed past the victim.
The victim confronted the suspects, who turned around and began striking her, police said. The victim fell to the ground and the suspects continued striking her before stealing her purse and fleeing on foot, police said.
The victim received injuries that were described as minor, and did not require treatment by medics, police said.
Arriving officers located the suspects and took them into custody.
The two adult suspects – 18-year-old Diajha Manning and 19-year-old Ezell Hill, each of the District of Columbia – were arrested, charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, and were held on secured bonds. Petitions were sought for the juvenile suspect.
