News of crime and punishment across Arlington.

CARJACKING:

** On April 6 at 5:50 a.m., an individual was outside his vehicle in the 4100 block of 4th Street North when three individuals approached and pushed him aside, then entered the vehicle and fled the scene.

The suspects are described as black males, one approximately 20 years old and the others described as 25 to 30 years old. The vehicle taken was described as a 2006 Toyota Camry with Virginia license plates.

** On April 8 at 5 a.m., an individual was in his parked vehicle in the 2600 block of Langston Boulevard when he observed another vehicle idling in the area.

The victim exited his vehicle to see if the driver needed assistance, then two male suspects exited that vehicle, grabbed the victim and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspects rummaged through his pockets and stole his keys, then one of the suspects drove away in the victim’s vehicle, a 2010 Mazda 6 with Virginia licensee places.

The suspects are described as black males.

ABDUCTION:

** On April 7 at 1:54 a.m., an individual gained entry to a residence in the 1100 block of South Thomas Street and entered the victim’s bedroom, police said.

The victim awoke to the suspect pressing down on her shoulders and telling her to remain silent, police said. The victim yelled, and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect – 18-year-old Pedro Gomez Lopez of Falls Church – was arrested and charged with abduction, burglary and public intoxication. He was held without bond.

SEXUAL BATTERY:

** On April 1 at 10:48 p.m., a juvenile was inside an elevator in the 1700 block of Richmond Highway when a suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a black female, 5’5”, with thick black hair.

INDECENT EXPOSURE:

** On April 1 at 11:50 a.m., an individual was walking in the 800 block of North Manchester Street when she observed a man walk past her with his genitals exposed. The suspect then fled the area.

The suspect is described as a male, 25 to 30 years old.

BRANDISHING:

** On April 2 at about 8 a.m., an individual was inside his vehicle attempting to pull into a parking garage in the 800 block of Army Navy Drive when an individual who was walking in the area lifted his shirt to reveal a firearm.

The suspect then fled on foot. He is described as a black male, 5’10”.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO/VEHICLE TAMPERING:

** On April 3 between 4 and 6 a.m., a vehicle was stolen from a parking garage in the 5500 block of Columbia Pike.

According to police, investigation revealed that two additional vehicles in the vicinity were entered into and tampered with.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9” or 5’10”.
