Must Read

An individual entered a bank in the 900 block of North Stuart Street on May 9 at 2:21 p.m. The suspect approached a teller, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash, police said.

The suspect fled after receiving an unreported amount of cash, police said. No weapon was seen or displayed, and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male in his 40s or 50s, wearing a gray suit jacked, white button-down shirt, dark dress pants, gray baseball hat and black face mask.

An attempted bank robbery in the same area and with a suspect matching the same general description was reported about 10 minutes prior to this one. A similar bank robbery was reported May 2 in the 900 block of North Taylor Street.

Anyone with information on the cases is asked to call the county police department’s homicide/robbery unit at (703) 228-4180.
