Police: All’s well after elderly driver confuses vehicles, bags

Must Read

On March 18 around 10:25 a.m., a resident reported to Vienna police that her work laptop had been taken from her vehicle while she was inside the Virginia ABC store at 419 Maple Ave., E.

The victim told responding officers that, when she returned to her vehicle, the laptop was missing and a bag containing unopened bottles of liquor was left on the floor.

Officers proceeded to contact the man who had purchased the liquor found in the vehicle, determining that the man (described as elderly) got into the victim’s vehicle by accident, thinking it was his own.

When he realized his mistake, the individual took the victim’s laptop bag rather than his ABC bag from the vehicle.
