The newly formed 9th Street Chamber Music LLC will host a launch party on Friday, July 16 at 5 p.m. on the lawn at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 915 North Oaktland St.
The event will include music, food and drink for purchase, a raffle and more.
“9th Street Music is a new model for professional string quartet with education and outreach as part of its core mission,” said violist Liz O’Hara Stahr, who performs along with violinist Matt Richardson, cellist Andrew Rammon and violinist Jennifer Wade.
The performers were employed by Crescendo, the youth-chamber-music program of the Arlington Philharmonic, from 2015 to 2021.
“We are ready and excited for this timely new chapter,” O’Hara Stahr said.
“Audiences have missed live music performances, and 9th Street Chamber music is set to be an integral, creative and inspiring part of the area’s music and cultural fabric.”
