Christopher Barnewolt and Timothy Kilcullen of Arlington were among four law-school students from across the Washington area and 28 nationally chosen to take part in the Summer Law Fellow Program of the Fund for American Studies.
The fellowship provides coursework from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School combined with professional-development seminars, networking events and law and public-policy lectures. Featured speakers include U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Douglas Ginsburg and Federal Election Commission member Allen Dickerson.
Fellows also are participating in internships and clerkships at the U.S. Federal Court of Claims, Institute for Free Speech, Institute for Justice, Public Interest Legal Foundation and other organizations.
After seeing its summer-of-2020 in-person programming canceled due to the pandemic, the Fund for American Studies recently welcomed nearly 300 students from the U.S. and internationally for its various summer-internship programs.
