Langley thespians to stage classic, raucous comedy

Must Read

Langley High School’s Saxon Stage will present the raucous comedy “The Man Who Came to Dinner” with performances Oct. 13-15 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m. at the high school.

The Moss Hart/George S. Kaufman work debuted on Broadway in 1939, featuring a world-renowned renaissance man who must stay in a home to recover after slipping and fracturing his hip. Mayhem results.

“From young couples to convicts to cinema stars, the students of Langley High School assemble an eccentric group of characters,” producers said.
“The student technical crew transforms the Langley stage into the 1930s, constructing a 1930s house on-stage and dressing the characters in lavish, period-appropriate costumes.”

Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for seniors, with $5 for high-school seniors for the Thursday show.
