Langley High School gymnast Julia Stout scored a 9.683 on vault to finish first in the event at the Virginia High School League’s Class 6 girls state individual gymnastics championships.
Stout placed ninth on the uneven bars at the meet. She scored 8.817 on the floor exercise and 8.467 on the balance beam for a 10th-place all-around total of 36.2.
Marshall High School’s Keira Fu was 11th in the all-around (35.849). Her best score was a 9.283 on the vault. She scored 8.983 on the floor, 8.83 on the beam and 8.75 on the bars.
