On Oct. 23 at 12:40 a.m., an off-duty police officer heard individuals forcing entry into a secure residential building in the 900 block of South Dinwiddie Street, then observed them enter the building, Arlington police said.
The officer went to investigate and observed the suspects opening packages, police said. Upon seeing the officer, the suspects fled on foot.
With the assistance of arriving officers, one juvenile suspect was located and taken into custody. Petitions against him are pending.
The case is similar to two others reported in the building within the week.
