Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics on Dec. 17 organized a giant toy and coat drop-off event to enable vulnerable patients to enjoy the holidays and stay warm over the coming winter season.

“The drive has received incredible support from the community, with donations from the Department of Defense, the Arlington County Police Department and a number of wonderful community partners like the Little Falls Presbyterian Church,” organizers said. “To date, Virginia Hospital Center has collected approximately 1,300 gifts, and is especially in need of gift cards for teenage patients.”

Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics offers comprehensive, affordable, quality health care in a culturally sensitive environment, serving over 3,600 underserved infants and children in Arlington with family incomes at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
