Friends of Riverbend Park on hunt for new directors

Must Read

Friends of Riverbend Park (FORB) is seeking nominations for candidates who are interested in serving on the group’s board of directors.

Candidates must be paid-up FORB members, reside in Fairfax County and agree to serve for a three-year term.

FORB’s board meets for about one hour once a month except for August and December.

Those who are interested in serving should contact FORB president Hugh Morrow at hughmorrowiii@gmail.com for instructions in preparing a statement of interest and qualifications. Potential candidates who are not paid-up FORB members may join on the group’s Website at www.forbpark.org.

Individual annual dues are $25 and a two-year family membership is $100.

FORB hopes to attract new members as well, even if they do not wish to serve on its board. The group is looking forward to several events at Riverbend Park in 2023, including the Bluebell Festival and FORB’s native-plant sale in early April and the return of the Virginia Native American Festival in September.
