The Arlington County Police Department’s Community-Engagement Division is hosting its third annual Fill the Cruiser Drive in support of the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC).

Officers will be collecting donated items on Friday, May 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Giant Food, 2901 South Glebe Road, and Harris Teeter, 2425 North Harrison St.

AFAC accepts most unopened, unexpired and unprepared foods, including perishable items. The organization is most in need of low-sodium, low-fat and low-sugar items, including canned tomatoes, tuna and soup; canned vegetables; peanut butter (in plastic jars); and low-sugar cereal.

In addition, officers also will be collecting diapers of all sizes during the drive.
