FCPS students tapped for All-Virginia Chorus

A number of students from Fairfax County schools in the Sun Gazette coverage area have been selected to the 2022 All-Virginia Chorus, with others named to the All-Virginia Orchestra.

The students performed with other premier musicians from across the state April 20-23.

Students from throughout Virginia went through a rigorous audition process to compete for spots, then rehearsed with nationally recognized conductors to prepare for their performances.

Local students selected for All-Virginia Chorus included Caroline Cha, James Madison High School; Robbie Erickson, James Madison High School; Shriya Iyer, Langley High School; Elise McCulloch, James Madison High School; Kian Mostaghim, George C. Marshall High School; Luke Mudrick, James Madison High School; Sara Porjosh, George C. Marshall High School; Tatum Scarborough, George C. Marshall High School; Sydney Topoleski, James Madison High School; Katherine Townsend, James Madison High School; and Sophia Welch, George C. Marshall High School.
