Legislation patroned by state Sen. Barbara Favola to require an annual report from the Commonwealth Council on Aging has landed on Gov. Youngkin’s desk.
The measure from Favola (D-Arlington-Fairfax-Loudoun) would require the council to submit an annual report by Oct. 1 each year to the governor, legislature and Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services. The report must focus on activities of the council and policy recommendations from the body.
The measure cruised through the General Assembly on votes of 40-0 in the Senate and 100-0 in the House of Delegates.
