Students from 12 Fairfax County public schools won first place awards at the 2022 Virginia Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference held recently in Reston.
More than 90 students placed in the top four in their event and qualified to compete in the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago in June.
From the Sun Gazette coverage area, top awards were won by Matthew Abhishek, Hayden Krisko and Akhil Metu Kuru of George C. Marshall High School and Daphne Jaillon of James Madison High School.
More than 400 students from Fairfax County Public Schools high schools competed in 55 events.
