Electric vehicles (EVs) will take the stage during the 12th annual National Drive Electric Week on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Parking Lot C (off Braddock Road) on the Fairfax campus of George Mason University.

The event is co-sponsored by Sierra Club Virginia chapter, Sierra Club Potomac River group, Sierra Club Great Falls group, and 350 Fairfax.

Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive various models of EVs, talk to EV owners, see cars, trucks and buses on display, and learn about the latest in EV technology, including solar-powered race cars.

“Our National Drive Electric Week event gives people a one-stop experience where they see a variety of battery electric vehicles, all in one spot,” said Cheri Conca, transportation and smart-growth program manager with the Sierra Club Virginia chapter. “They can learn about what it’s like to own an EV directly from EV owners, and ask questions about incentives and rebates, charging and more.”

Among vehicles expected to be on hand: BMW i4 1, Ford F-150 Lightning, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Kia EV6, MINI Cooper, Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Toyota RAV4 Prime 4WD, Volkswagen ID.4 and a 1998 Jaguar EV conversion.

National Drive Electric Week is presented by Plug In America, Electric Auto Association, Sierra Club and EVHybridNoire. Sponsors include Nissan, Wells Fargo and Edison International.
