Start dates are still up in the air in some cases, but United Airlines has announced plans for both new flights and resurrection of COVID-interrupted service from Washington Dulles International Airport to foreign destinations.
United officials have confirmed plans to begin flights between Dulles and Berlin (Germany) sometime next spring, and to bring back service between Dulles and Lisbon (Portugal) next summer.
More definitive are the plans to begin service between Dulles and Tokyo Haneda (Japan) on March 26 and Amman (Jordan) on May 5.
The Jordan service will be three times weekly on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircaft, United officials said.
Before the start of the new year, United will launch service between Dulles and Lagos (Nigeria) on Nov. 29 and Bridgetown (Barbados) on Dec. 5. In addition, Avianca is set to start service between Dulles and Guatemala City in coming months.
