Fairfax County police officers on Dec. 26 at 9:33 p.m. were investigating a vehicle at Tysons Corner Center that had an improper registration when the motorist, a 20-year-old District of Columbia man, allegedly intentionally drove at the officers, nearly striking them, police said.
The motorist sped off into a parking garage, where responding officers blocked in the vehicle. No one was injured during the incident, police said.
Police arrested the driver and authorities have charged him with two counts of attempted malicious wounding and failure to obey commands to stop.
