Arlington Central Library will host a “death café” on Thursday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m.
The group-directed discussion is designed to increase awareness of death, with a “view to helping people making the most of our (finite) lives,” library officials said. “It is a discussion group rather than a grief-support or counseling session.”
The event will be facilitated by Kathleen Garces-Foley, a professor of religious studies at Marymount University. Refreshments will be available.
The program is free, but registration is required. For information and to register, see the Website at https://arlingtonva.libcal.com/event/9060520.
