Must Read

The Arlington County government’s spring E-CARE [Environmental Collection and Recycling Event] will be held on Saturday, April 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of Yorktown High School.

The event provides the opportunity for Arlington residents to drop off a variety of household hazardous materials, as well as deposit serviceable bicycles that will be donated to Bikes for the World to be distributed to those overseas in need.

Last year’s spring E-CARE event resulted in the collection of almost 95,000 pounds of hazardous materials, with another 77,000 pounds collected in the fall 2021 event.

For information, see the Website at www.arlingtonva.us and search “E-CARE.” The site also provides information about recycling hazardous household items throughout the year.
